Gothra System and Science of Genetics

Did you know the Gothra system is pure science? To prevent or prolong the extinct time of Male population??? Yes you are reading it right. Male population might become extinct in years to come. The reason behind the male female ratio decreasing is due to the unique nature of 'Y' Chromosomes?   Read this article Gothra System and Science of Genetics.


Anyone who believes in Genetics and have recently watched the movie "7am arivu" (seventh sense) would be interested to know the answers.


This article also leads to a thought of why a male child is/was(?) preferred over a female child though I do not agree to female infanticide. Is this a reason some people thought as an easier way to get rid of the problem? 


Questions might arise like why is Gothra system followed mainly in brahmin community? Or how do we claim that all the population including African Tribes (believed to be the first people on earth) followed this Gothra system? 


Of course, this topic is controversial but worth a research and open discussion.
